About the event
Below is 30 days of summer guided reading through the book of Psalms. Use this list to read through this book in sequential order. For a deeper experience, we encourage you to journal through this journey. Each day, use the “SOAP” method of study below to enhance your reading.
S - Scripture: Open your Bible to the reading
found under today’s date. Take time reading and allow God to speak to you; don’t rush. Look for ONE or TWO verses that particularly stand out. Write them in your journal.
O - Observation: What do you think God is
saying in this Scripture? In your own words,
record the context of the passage.
A - Application: Personalize it by asking yourself how this applies to your life right now. Write how God is showing you that this Scripture can apply to you today. How will you be different today because of what you have just read?
P - Prayer: Don’t worry about getting the words right, just get your heart right! Be sure to listen to what God has to say! Now, write it out.
If you have children who are a part of PointeKids, ask them about their summer reading. They are going through parts of Psalms and Proverbs during the summer and there will be some overlap where you can discuss the scriptures as a family.
We look forward to seeing how the Lord with bless our church as we all read the book of Psalms together.

These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. -Deuteronomy 6:6-9
