Election Day Prayer Vigil (Via Zoom)

What can we do on Election Day? Surely we can vote. But even more important than that, we can pray. On November 8th (Election Day) we are having a prayer vigil on Zoom from 8 a.m. when the polls open until 8 p.m. when many of them close. There will be twelve blocks of prayer, listed below.

2022 Election Prayer Topics

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Thanksgiving and Repentance 8 a.m.-9 a.m. Prayers of thanksgiving, worship, praise, for what God has already done and will do and repentance for sin. Ps. 118:1, Ps. 9:1, Col 3:15

Sanctity of Life 9 a.m.-10 a.m. Abortion, pregnant women, affected women, affected men, impact on society, proposals associated with abortion, AAA Pregnancy and other agencies working to save unborn lives. Jer. 1:5, Ps. 139:13-16

Elected Officials 10 a.m.-11 a.m. All offices to be decided, incumbent offices not being decided, godly leadership and morality, wisdom, discernment, families of elected officials, safety, peace. Ro. 13:1, 1 Pet. 2:13-15, Mt. 28:18

Church 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Unity, witness, fellowship with one another and the Lord, voting based on the word and the Holy Spirit, outreach and evangelism, growth, and maturity. Eph. 4:12-16, Mt. 28:19-20, Ps. 119:105

Economy 12 p.m.- 1 p.m. Inflation, cost of living, families, jobs, worker shortages, supply chain. Ge. 22:14, Ps 121, Mt. 6:25-26, Phil. 4:19
